A few product / food portfolio shots from a couple years back, newly re-photoshopped for this blog. Not doing much of this sort of work anymore, much more high-volume low-quality!

I’ve begun the second run of my HDR course at Focal Point — extremely small group this time, only three students! Nice for me and nice for them, not entirely preferable for Focal Point, one would imagine. These are some of my example shots from our first outing, a walk around Granville Island from 6-9pm. I should think of somewhere more interesting to take us next time, somewhere between the life-threatening hazards of that old factory and the dull familiarity of Gastown.

The Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce recently hosted BC Liberal Premiere Gordon Campbell at its “Dialogue with the Premier” event at the UBC University Golf Club.

From a fashion shoot with Olga from a while ago.

I spent most of February working with the illustrious and powerful Robin O’Neill for Bell Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics. In making the most of their investment as the exclusive telecommunications partner, Bell had rented the entirety of the Westin Grand hotel to entertain their guests and investors with event tickets and various goings-on at the Bell Blue Lounge (the once and future Players Chophouse). I left my desk to do some second shooting at the Blue Lounge as the friends of Bell were treated to a little face-time with our newest and favourite gold medalists, Alexandre Bilodeau, Maelle Ricker, and Ashleigh McIvor. Also present were VANOC head honcho John Furlong, great Canadian man in motion Rick Hanson, amazing expert trumpeter and orchestral lead for the opening ceremonies whose name I wish I could remember, and later in the evening, Sarah McLachlan.

The Vancouver skytrain,  sometime last year. I’ll be running my HDR course at Focal Point again this spring. What was I thinking doing it in the winter? Anyway, maybe this time there will be some daylight.
